Jasmine walked to the couch in the
living room and turned on cartoons until her mother returned. Meanwhile in the
room Niyah laid across Nicki and Safaree’s bed and snatched shirt off and
gestured for Safaree to come closer to her. Safaree quickly walked over but
stopped right at the foot of the bed. Many things were running through his mind
“If I do this Niyah won’t take Jasmine from us but I can’t do this to Nicki. I
can’t ruin what we have.” He slowly took a seat at the end of the bed. Nicki
started running up the stairs but as she got closer to the top she started
hearing faint noises. She slowed down and eventually came to a complete stop
when she realized that the noises she heard were coming from Niyah.
In the room
“Ughhhhhh!!!What’s wrong? Why won’t
you just give me all of you one last time” Niyah asked Safaree as she crawled
over to him placing her hand on his back. Safaree started to yell but then
remembered that Nicki and Jasmine were not too far away so he whispered,
“Niyah…you know that I am a happily married man. I love my wife to death. I
love Jasmine to death. I would do anything for Jasmine but…I just can’t fuck
you Niyah.” Niyah backed up sitting in the middle of the bed and said “Well, I
love my daughter a lot but I know you had her for the last 6 years of her life.
I know you and Nicki can provide for her…offer her so much more than I can. I
know letting Jasmine stay here would be the best thing for her as much as it
hurts to admit it. So I will make you a deal. I’ll sign over my rights so that
you and Nicki could legally become Jasmine’s parents IF you give me $50,000
just so I can make sure I’m stable and able to provide for myself.” Safaree
could not believe what he just heard. He was shocked that Niyah would just give
up the fight for her daughter for money. Safaree stood and said “Niyah I’m glad
you understand that Jasmine will be well taken care of here and I know we don’t
owe you anything. If anything you owe us for the last 6 years but we won’t do
that to you because we love Jasmine with everything in us. I have to talk to
Nicki first before I just hand over the money.” Niyah was starting to get
agitated and screamed “Just give it to me!!.” Nicki overheard Niyah’s last
statement and her heart started to race. Her mind started to work overtime “I
know they are not about to fuck in our room…in our bed. I thought he would
never want to hurt me. I thought he wanted us to be a happy family.” Nicki
stormed down the hall to their bedroom door and busted in with an angry look on
her face. As soon as the door was open Nicki was searching for Safaree. When
she finally caught a glimpse of him she saw that he was still fully clothed.
She then looked towards the bed and Niyah in the middle of it in her bra and
then spotted her shirt on the floor right beside the bed. Nicki yelled while
tapping her foot “What the fuck is going on? Somebody better answer me. I don’t
want to hear bullshit! Tell me the fucking truth.” Everyone in the room just
stared back and forth at each other in silence until Nicki broke the silence.
“Somebody better speak right the fuck now”
Safaree stood up went up to Nicki “
Look Babe, it’s not what you think” . Nicki stood there looking at him still
tapping her foot with her arms crossed “ that’s what they all say Faree,
basically you was about to have sex in MY house” Nicki responded putting
emphasis on “MY” .
Niyah
sat there watching them, safaree turned towards her and told her to get her
stuff and get out and that they would talk later. Nicki rolled her eyes as she
watched Niyah walk about the room. “Safaree go make sure she walks out this
house with only the shit she came in here with”
as safaree walked out, Nicki walked towards the bed and started to
snatch all the covers off but then she stopped and thought to herself “ why am
I doing this? I wasn’t the one about to fuck”
. She left the covers there and went to the bathroom to wash her hands.
When she had finished drying them safaree came back up the steps and into the room
“Nicki” he said.
“
What ?” Nicki stood in front of him and looked up at him . Safaree grabbed her arm and walked her to the
messed up bed, found a clear spot and sat down, he put Nicki on his lap and
looked at her.
“You
know I would never do anything to ruin this beautiful family we have” safaree
told her.
“
I know fareee, but the things I was hearing…” safaree cut her off “babe, let me
tell you what happen”
“
She tried to come on to me, she said that if I had sex with her she would let
us keep jasmine and she wouldn’t bother us anymore, I told her no, I didn’t
wanna ruin US Nicki.” Safaree said rubbing her leg
“
Then surprisingly she understood and she wanted to make a deal”
“
And what was the deal ?” Nicki asked
“
If we give her $50,000, she would leave us alone”
“
And you believed that shit ? So you’re giving her $50,000??? “
“
Nicki… let me finish ! “ safaree told her
Nicki
sat there quiet
“
I told her I would have to speak to you about it first”
“
We are NOT giving her $50,000… because then she will just come back for more.
You should know that”
“
Well what are we gonna do Nicki ??? She’s gonna keep coming back ! :” safaree
said
“That’s
where you’re wrong!... once we go to court, everything will be settled… trust
me.”
“
I sure hope so babe “ Safaree answered
“
I know so “ Nicki kissed him
He
kissed her back and Nicki got up from his lap
“
Now change these sheets!!” Nicki started to walk out the room
“That
dusty hoe all in my bed” she whispered walking completely out the room
“I
heard that “ safaree said taking all the sheets off
Nicki went downstairs
and looked out the window to make sure the cop and Niyah were gone. Then she
sat next to Jasmine “you okay baby girl?”
“Yes mommy” she
responded
“Kayy” Nicki kissed her
forehead and walked into the kitchen
She sat at the table
and thought about what the things the cop were saying and doing to her. She had
to tell Safaree but she didn’t know how… she didn’t want him to be upset with
her for not telling him asap. Also she didn’t want him going to jail tonight.
She knew how protective he was over her and he didn’t want anybody touching her
where they shouldn’t be. She laid her head on the kitchen table for a little
while until she felt a hand rub across her back.
“What’s wrong baby?”
Safaree asked Nicki.
“Nothing. I’m fine”
Nicki quickly replied. Safaree knew when Nicki was lying and he could tell that
something was on her mind. He knew that Nicki was stubborn but he would
question her until he got an answer so he took a seat at the table right beside
Nicki and looked her in her eyes.
“What?” Nicki asked as
she watched Safaree stare at her.
“Tell me what is going
on. I will sit right here in this seat until you do. I don’t care how long it
will take” Safaree replied.
“I just…I don’t know. I
just never thought that Niyah would come back after 6 years asking for her
daughter. Within those 6 years she had no contact with Jasmine and it was all
her choice. How did she think that she could just rip Jasmine away from us like
that? Jasmine is my heart and I can’t even begin to think about how my life
would change drastically if they take this little girl away from us” Nicki
started to cry.
Safaree was surprised
because Nicki was never the type to break down and tell others how she was
feeling. He pulled Nicki from her chair and onto his lap and held her tight
around her waist. Nicki laid her head on Safaree’s shoulder. He began to speak
“Nicki…baby…there is no way in hell that some judge would take Jasmine away
from us. No judge in their right mind would rule in Niyah’s favor. She’s not
even stable enough to try to take care of Jasmine because she can’t even take
care of herself. Once everything is explained in court there is no way that our
family will be ripped apart. After we show the judge the proof of us taking
care of Jasmine for the last past 6 years we won’t have to give Niyah anything
because we definitely don’t owe her anything.”
Nicki looked in
Safaree’s eyes and said “I believe that everything will work out but I can’t
help but to worry and think about all of the what if’s in this situation.
There’s also something else I need to tell you Faree.”
Safaree stared at Nicki
waiting for her to continue and she just stared back waiting for him to say
something.
Safaree realized what
she was doing and spoke up “So what is it?”
Nicki cleared her
throat and said “Well when I went outside to sign the papers for the cop he
was…ummm…he was flirting with me and saying that I was his and what he wanted
to do to me and stuff like that.”
Safaree was shocked
“Why didn’t you tell me this earlier Nicki?”
“Well when I came to
get you that’s when I found Niyah in our room in our bed and my mind went
somewhere else” Nicki said putting emphasis on our in her baby voice trying to
keep Safaree from getting mad.
“Next time something
like that happens you let me know. I
would’ve beat his ass talking to my baby like that. Fuck wrong with these
niggas lately?”
Nicki smirked
. “How about we order
pizza and have a family night? We could watch movies and play video games” safaree
said
“That sounds fun! Maybe
that will ease my mind a little. You know I love spending time with my babies”
Nicki had the biggest smile on her face.
“There’s that smile
that I love” Safaree said as he passionately kissed Nicki on the lips.
“Sir you better stop
before this turn into something else and Jasmine is right in the other room”
Nicki started to laugh and Safaree joined in. Safaree slapped Nicki on the ass
as she stood up from his lap and she giggled.
“I got you later with
ya sexy ass” Safaree said as he winked at Nicki.
